Beating Procrastination
Problem: The reasons people procrastinate are numerous (see below) , however you know that excuses never got anyone ever very far in life. Therefore I recommend that the next time you have some tasks that you are avoiding to do becasue you don't want to do, such as cleaning up the backyard, the basement, your closet, ______ (you fill in the blank)
Solution: Take 5 minutes just to start the task and with the mind set that you will only do it for 5 minutes TODAY, and finish the rest tomorrow. Once you start you may find it hard to stop! The reason why this works so well is because of momentum. (Plus in many instances, chores that you have been puting off for years - will take less than an hour to finish!)
